Hello Joan Have you thought about DNA testing? I would suggest a Family Finder test,www.familytreedna.com. It is my hope that we will eventually be able to link some of our families together in Ireland this way, given the absence of paper records, but we need more people to test. I am starting to develop some possibilities for my own family this way. Interestingly for me I have ancestors SWEENEY and HANRAHAN both from county Clare, most records suggest Moyriesk or Clooney. We do have HANRAHAN cousins in Tulla Clare. HALLORAN and HANRAHAN could possibly be variants, you never know! I have had a second cousin from this line tested, I live in hope we can find someone else out there we similar ancestry that matches us both so that it can help to break down out brick wall.
