Hello listers I found the following Memoriam in the Times of India dated 27th May 1924 whilst transcribing and knowing there were a lot of families by the name SCANLON in Co Clare and also Limerick, thought I'd pass this on, just in case it related to any SCANLON researchers as there were so many names mentioned. There was also an Acknowledgement. TIMES OF INDIA 27th May 1924 Edition SCANLON - In loving memory of our darling Daddy, Michael Patrick Scanlon, who passed away on the 23rd morning at the residence of his daughter Mrs Cyril Brown, Matilda Bldgs Sussex Road, Byculla. Deeply mourned by all his loved ones and sadly missed by his three children, Clive, Kathleen & Eva. "Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning" Ps.30.5. Mrs Wallace Craig, Mr Clive Scanlon, Mrs CE Brown take this opportunity of thanking all friends and relatives for all kindness and trouble, also for the floral tributes and messages of condolence sent, and are unable to reply to each one. I have no interest in the Scanlon name and don't know whether the above fellow came from Clare, but it was worth posting it just in case. Byculla is in Bombay, India. Cheers Joan
