Thanks Josie. My Mary had a sister named Bridget who also lived in St Marys, Ontario. She married Michael O'Dea in Ontario in 1863. The marriage registration shows that their father was Michael Collins and their mother was Margaret Monaghan. Both Mary and Bridget lived and died in St Marys, Ontario. Thanks for your time and interest. But, it isn't that easy when all I know of my John Collins is that he was b. abt. 1819-20 (based on age of 40 on the 1860 St. Louis census). m. in 1853 in St. Louis & d. there in 1867. Marianne, Your Mary's b. date of abt. 1834 would fit her into the family of my Gr-Grandfather John's brother, Anthony Collins. His wife was Mary and the children were Elizabeth, b. abt. 1821, Hugh, b. abt. Mary 1824, Nancy Ann, b 27 May 1827, (m. Richard Enright of Kilkee), Anthony b. 1834, Bridget, b. 1837-8, arnd John, b. abt. 1842. They all emigrated to Philadelphia or St. Louis. However, his Mary d. in Iowa in 1908. She could have been my John's younger sister ( by 14 years). Clifford, Your Mary Collins, whose husband was b. in 1806 could have been a sister to Michael, b. ? , ( whose son John was b. abt. 1819-20), Anthony, b. abt. 1798, and Honora Collins O'Brien also b. abt. 1798. John's children were b. later but he was 33 when he m. in 1853. Their names were Patrick, George, Ann Elizabeth & Mary Ellen (twins), Margaret & Richard Thomas. At least we know that Anthony and Mary ? lived in Kilkee, just S. of Corbally and their children were all born there. The reason I know the 6 names is that they all emigrated to the USA & settled in Davenport, Iowa. Good Irish luck to both of you in your research.
