Hello listers I am researching and have been doing so for many years without success, James Halloran & Kate McNamara whose son Patrick was born about 1805 in Tulla, Co Clare. Patrick Halloran married Mary Doogan/Dugan and in 1839 they emigrated to Sydney, [a labourer R/C] NSW with their children Bridget b 1828, Michael b 1830, Catherine b 1833, Margaret b 1835 & Elizabeth born at sea in 1839. They had 3 more children at Mulgoa, NSW, MARY ANN, Patrick Jnr. & James. On Mary Halloran nee Doogan's emigration record it shows she was the daughter of Darby Doogan a tailor in Tulla and Kate Verlin his wife. Patrick Snr. died 1851 in Mulgoa, NSW and Mary died in 1877 In Mudgee, NSW in the name of Mary Driver although a marriage has not been found but her h/stone said "Mary Driver wife of David Driver". Mary Driver was the informant to Mary Ann Halloran on her marriage to Thomas Birtles in Mudgee in 1866. I am hoping a new lister may also be researching James Halloran & Kate McNamara my brick wall although I have found on the Tithe Applotments in 1827 a James Halloran a Patrick Doogan a widow Halloran and a Michael McNamara at Rosslara, Tulla all names related to the Halloran's I am researching. Would anyone have any information or advice on where to look for further information on James & Kate Halloran nee McNamara and any siblings of Patrick b about 1805 in Tulla and possibly whether I have the correct families living at Rosslara please? I have looked many times on the Clare Library site but could find nothing apart from the Tithe's showing the names in Rosslara. Thank you Joan
