The above couple arrived in Sydney in 1854 as Assisted Immigrants aboard "Columbia". Michael's details suggest birth around 1830 at Kilmaley. Kate or Catherine Gleeson was born c1834 to John Gleeson & Mary (McMahon ?) Her place of origin is given as Ennis. Catherine's sister Eliza Gleeson born c1841 migrates 1856 via "Kate" and marries Michael Dunne in Sydney in 1866. Shipping record notes Michael & Kate already in colony. Another sister Ellen Gleeson born c1843, migrates 1859 via "Abyssinian" and marries Edward Warby in 1869. Both Eliza and Ellen give place of origin as Limerick. The key to tying everything together is a series of 1910 obituary notices for Elizabeth Dunne in Trove newspapers. They mention sisters Mrs Hegarty and Mrs Warby. I wonder if anyone can add to the origins of this family. There are a couple of submitted trees on Ancestry for the individual couples, but nobody has tied all three together. Peter
