Kilrush filmed church records end in 1900, and I don't see James's birth in the civil birth index. However, the 1911 census shows a Hassett family in rural Kilrush, with father John, mother Mary, 2-year-old daughter Mary, grandmother Kate, and aunt Bridget. There's also another Hassett family but the children are teenagers, so not likely yours.
