Hi Joan, Numerous postings on the O'Hallorans of Tulla at http://www.ourlibrary.ca/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=1 Paddy -----Original Message----- From: irl-clare-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-clare-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Joan Birtles Sent: 01 August 2013 06:40 To: irl-clare@rootsweb.com Subject: [IRL-CLARE] LYNCH, DUNDON, MORAN & HALLORAN & McNAMARA - ROLL CALL Hi listers these are my Roll Call enquiries. I have been researching for years my John LYNCH, Deborah DUNDON, & MORAN families from Kilrush, Co Clare in the very early 1800's. I believe these 3 families to be connected but having a hard time proving it as their baptisms and marriages are all pre 1827 which is when the Kilrush PR's begin. Have searched Tithes and Griffiths for later families but without mother's name for my LYNCH's and so many LYNCH names have found it impossible. John's army record & marriage only showed his father's name and I can't find a death record for him in Australia between 1859 and 1865 when his wife remarried. The HALLORAN's & MCNAMARA's are from Tulla and I believe are from Rosslara found on the Tithes & Griffiths, but there again so many Halloran's and only Tulla mentioned on any records here in Australia [of their son Patrick & his wife and children, another child born on the voyage with further children born at Mulgoa, NSW] who emigrated as bounty immigrants in 1839. Kind regards Joan in NSW, Australia It is time for another Roll Call. **If you have never seen a Roll Call - this is where everyone tells who they are searching for all at once.** Please send in your Names and some identifying info like dates and places (if you know them). Fill as much as you can. ***Please put your surnames in the SUBJECT line of the email so people know what emails to look at. Do this before you write the message body because it is easy to forget to go back and fix the Subject line.*** This is also important for people reading the archives in the future. Digest users, Please, PLEASE snip the excess text out if you hit reply. Good luck! Hi Paddy Thank you for your interest. I had seen most of the postings on the forum and also many other interesting articles, one in particular early newspaper reports in Clare of trials, I think it was in 1848, shown on the site. Is there any way that I can view newspapers from Australia, prior to 1848 in Kilrush/Ennis regarding trials and police records of assaults and the like. I do hold a library card from the National Library of Australia [which I have trouble accessing these days] but I'll certainly have a go again if I can view these newspapers! Another message I noticed, I think from Paddy Waldron was early Kilrush early PR's for the Church of Ireland registers being held in Churchtown in Dublin by the RCBL, these records prior to 1827 when the Kilrush registers begin. Would anything be available in Dublin for R/C registers prior to 1827 do you know, please.
