Hi, Many O'Hehirs dropped the 'O' so you have to look at Hehir and Hare as well as O'Hehir and O'Hare, Hehir is very common in Co. Clare so have you searched all documents that might identify the parish or village - marriage and death certs, cemetery records and inscriptions ann possible newspaper obituary, Declan P.S. 'The Clare Journal' might have had a report on the court case. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Margaret Wise" <madge47@netspace.net.au> To: <irl-clare@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2013 9:29 AM Subject: [IRL-CLARE] A Hehir or O'Hehir family from County Clare > This is my first query on the mailing list. Hello Declan, Thank you so much for responding to my query. All your information is very useful. I have tried accessing several websites but they all seem to want you to subscribe "at a price". I am not familiar with "free" Irish genealogical sites, except those on Genuki; not that I want all my information for free but as I'm not doing this research for myself, but for our local historical society, I don't want to have to spend any more than I really have to. Thanks again for your help. Cheers, Margaret Wise, Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania ----- Original Message ----- From: "Declan Barron" <newparkhouse.ennis@eircom.net> To: <irl-clare@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 21, 2013 1:46 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-CLARE] A Hehir or O'Hehir family from County Clare > Hi, > Many O'Hehirs dropped the 'O' so you have to look at Hehir and Hare as > well > as O'Hehir and O'Hare, > Hehir is very common in Co.
