From 1901 census, James Sullivan was born c1838 and Mary O'Brien c1841. I've previously posted that James Sullivan married Mary O'Brien on 9th Feb 1864 in Milltown Malbay. His father was Thomas Sullivan. Her father was Michael O'Brien. But I don't have the mothers. I've just received the following new information on baptismal sponsors of the children of James & Mary. One would suspect that any Sullivans or O'Brien sponsors might be brothers or sisters, or other relatives of James and Mary. I wonder if anyone can recognise any of the sponsors and possible links to Sullivan & OBrien families in the area. I know Michael Moriarty married Ann Murray and came to NSW. He also sponsored the 1885 migration of my Bridget Sullivan b1866 to Sydney. I don't know if he has a direct family connection. I'm working through looking for submitted trees, civil registrations and census records for each of the sponsors, but it's a slow process and I'm not having much success. Peter Booth
