    3. Jennifer, I'd also be looking for images of original immigration papers, although they tend to give native place as opposed to birth place. It might also be worthwhile looking for a regiment that her father served with, and checking their postings around the time she was born. It looks like they were in Dublin between 1860-1870, so I'm not sure Clare is correct. It might be the birthplace of one or other of the parents. Having said that, I did a search on Family Search using just parent names and like Brenda, only came up with Gertrude. Perhaps Stanislaus and Josephine are not there because they pre-date 1864 civil registration. It could also be that she was born Mary Josephine, but christened as Josephine. But that's a long shot.
