However, although I was in touch with two Australian family historians, one doing Carberry of West Clare and the other doing a Michael out of of Limerick, neither one was doing anything active. You have now provided the link between the arrival record and the Clare family. I do have an 1835 baptismal record for a Michael Carberry in my family's East Clare parish, although all the parish entries for my own family have no mention of any Michael.
