Alanna, That is a good question but not within my experience as I have never had to obtain an obit from the Clare Champion. Possibly another listmember who has does so, can post about hes/her experience. What occurs to me is this: 1. Google every which way to see if someone else has posted it online. 2. Contact the Clare Champion to see if they, like the U.S. newspapers, offer past articles for a small fee. 3. Throw yourself on the mercy of the Clare Library staff to see if they can provide the obit, which hopefully is very brief. 4. Hire the known Clare resident who is on this list and who provides gen. services, likely for a very moderate fee (sorry but Rootsweb rules forbid my saying who).
