Dear List, This is a long shot post. My family history computer is still down and will be for a while, so my information may not be exact right now. I have a female Scanlon whose name may have been Mary who went to RI. Her father would have been Martin Scanlan. I do not think that Martin lived a long time. His father seem to have done so. Anyway this female Scanlan married a Martin Van Buren Cass. They had two girls that I know about. I think neither married. This Martin's father was also a Martin I think and from Ireland. Martin Jr was Very involved in union politics over many many years. He also lived in MA. He was really old when he passed away. "Mary's" niece came to live with them. Bridget Scanlan was about 16. Bridget never married. I met her once when I was a child, I did not know who she was. I tried to contact the people in the area where Martin lived, but after all what he did and was known for doing, he is no longer remembered. Anyone recognize them? Thanks. Alanna
