Born Ellen McCarty in County Clare, Ireland. In 1850 in Buffalo, NY she married Michael Marnane and they had 7 children, five children and a husband dying before her. Still living is son Daniel, a prosperous farmer of Winside, Wayne Co., Neb.... Minnie, w/ David Dwyer where she's lived since their marriage...five grandchildren.
