With lots of informed people on this list I was wondering if anyone knows if a National Heritage Center has ever been proposed. By this I mean that ONE heritage center would be open for commissioned searches. Records from all the centers would be placed on one large database within one building. This would cut costs in keeping heritage centers up and running and it might even bring down the cost of a search. I was just wondering if this has ever been considered. I realize that approval rights might not be easy from sources such as churches. I had heard that LDS was trying to get approval from all sources that their films are from to allow them to put the records on their family search site. Not sure how that is progressing, but I would assume it would be a very difficult job to accomplish and long time to complete IF ever. Thanks for any feed back.... Debbie from Indiana
