    3. Dear Cathy, In Co Clare a Scanlon married a Doody. I think that this Doody was in the area of Lissycasey or Cappanagera. But this Scanlon was Not related to my Scanlan's! I have received a paper mail request to give the writer some info about my Scanlan's, but do to my personal life, I have not replied that we are not his Scanlon's. I will have to bring the letter to my computer area to give you the details in a few days. If you go to the LDS search area, there is a posting of a Doody. I think that this poster is the one or the relative of the paper writer. Alanna cathy carley <cathy_carley@yahoo.com.au> wrote: I'm researching my Direct Line of DOODY in Ireland. Family Talk is they may have originated in Co Clare around Kilrush area then Moved to Co Kerry. My ggrandfather was JOHN THOMAS DOODY, Born circa 1860, And Sister MARY JOSEPHINE born 1864...Their Father was THOMAS DOODY. JOHN and MARY came here to Australia in 1882. The Family thought they were from Co Clare, But in a newspaper Listing for John DOODYS marriage here in 1888, said he was second son of THOMAS DOODY of Listowel Co Kerry, Maybe they moved from Clare to Kerry. Also does anyone have access to Irish records that they can check please a Baptism for Mary Josephine Doody in 1864, Catholic, Father Thomas. And Does anyone know please origin of DOODY Name.. Thank you Regards from Australia Cathy:)
