The Kinvara area (not far from Tubber) is crawling with Kilkellys. Some of them are still there. You might like to call them and see whether they know anything about the Tubber Kilkellys. For example, Declan & Geraldine Kilkelly in Ballybuck, which is not far from Tubber on the road to Kinvara, may be able to give you a lead (091 638165). By the way, for 'Tubber' parish see 'Kilkeedy'. The names are pretty much synonymous. Clare. The names there were spelt Killkelly and Killikelly. I have a great-great-grandmother who was born Margaret Kilkelly, in a place unknown, and who married a Michael Kennedy. Their son was born somewhere in Co. Galway about 1836. Can anyone suggest how I might attempt to trace Margaret in Tubber? A record of a marriage to Michael Kennedy would be ideal.
