Irish World and American Industrial Liberator, (New York, NY) September 17, 1898; pg. 5 "Michael Meaney died Sept. 7 after a few days' illness. The deceased was born in Tulla, County Clare, Ireland, and came to this country thirty years ago. He was a member of Old Tara Circle, Fenian Brotherhood, and later a member of the John Mitchell Club. Mr. Meany was 47 years old. Two daughters survive him. On Friday his remains were taken from his late residence, 624 Washington avenue, Brooklyn, to Holy Cross Cemetery."
