    1. [IRL-CLARE] Sir Bernard Burke
    2. Brendan Burke
    3. I read somewhere a long time ago that Sir Bernard Burke, Ulster King at Arms & founder of Burke's Peerage etc traced his ancestry back to the De Burgos, Earls of Clanricarde through the Burkes of Meelick. Unfortunately I have been unable to find either the book or article I read or Sir Bernard's tracing of his ancestry. Can anybody help me please? Thank you very much for your help, now and in the past. Brendan Burke, Dublin. P.S. I' m posting this on both the Galway & Clare lists as Meelick is on the border between the two counties.
