Dear Helen, We have been in contact prior about the family, as I have a Arabella Cullinan, (born 1818) with parents John and Bridget. Your Bridget could well have been the granddaughter of my John and Bridget. While in Ennis back in October last year, I tried to find information on the John Cullinan, a publican in Mill St (Parnell St today) in the 1824 trade census. I was directed to the bar on the corner of Parnell St. and Cornmarket St's, the informant telling me it was once a Cullinan Hotel. Today the bar has the name O'Keeffe's Bar. I have photos if you're interested. Next door, in the same building, is Michele O'Keeffe, Solicitor. When my Arabella arrived in Australia, she put on the immigration form only her mothers name in the parents space, Bridget Cullinan- shop keeper- Ennis. The other thing if interest, was her religion ; Protestant. Her husband, Patrick Mulvihill was a Catholic. Ballyknock is close to Ennis and close to Dysert, where my Mulvihill's came from.
