Jeremiah O'Donnell 1852-1934 Mary Reidy O'Donnell 1866-1949 *Both born in County Clare (Liscannor) and lived/died in Elmira, N.Y. Looking for any specific information on their daughter Mary (Mamie) born around 1886 in Elmira, I believe Jeremiah's parents were Michael and Mary (Sheedy?) O'Donnell; Mary's parents were Michael and Mary (Liddy) Reidy all from County Clare I believe. I have no other information on them other than the fact that Mary (Liddy) Reidy did come to live in Elmira and is buried in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. I have no LIDDY or SHEEDY information. Am interested in Jeremiah's two brothers FRANCIS and PATRICK whom I believe remained in Ireland.
Hi Brian, There were 2 O'Donnell brothers - Pat A, aged 50 years, and Francis, aged 47 years, both single, RC, both retired shopkeepers residing together in High St, Corofin, Clare in the 1901 census. In the 1911 census, they are also together in house 16 in Corofin Town - Patrick, 65y, and Francis, 58y, both single, Rc, with Patrick listed as a retired grocer. Both census forms list them as brothers. Their birth years would be Patrick c 1846/1851 and Francis c 1853/1854, which would fit nicely with Jeremiah's birth year of 1852. Corofin is about 25 to 30 kims from Liscannor, depending on which route you take. Could this be them?
