Hi Joan, I'm jumping in and answering your question to Larry. Yes - they could be. I'm afraid I can't help you with 1848 as I have only reached 1835 in the Ejectment Books. In 1834 Crofton Moore Vandeleur took a case against William Lynch of Kilrush (ground and dwelling house).
