    2. Joan Birtles
    3. Hello listers I found the following Memoriam in the Times of India dated 27th May 1924 whilst transcribing and knowing there were a lot of families by the name SCANLON in Co Clare and also Limerick, thought I'd pass this on, just in case it related to any SCANLON researchers as there were so many names mentioned. There was also an Acknowledgement. TIMES OF INDIA 27th May 1924 Edition SCANLON - In loving memory of our darling Daddy, Michael Patrick Scanlon, who passed away on the 23rd morning at the residence of his daughter Mrs Cyril Brown, Matilda Bldgs Sussex Road, Byculla. Deeply mourned by all his loved ones and sadly missed by his three children, Clive, Kathleen & Eva. "Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning" Ps.30.5. Mrs Wallace Craig, Mr Clive Scanlon, Mrs CE Brown take this opportunity of thanking all friends and relatives for all kindness and trouble, also for the floral tributes and messages of condolence sent, and are unable to reply to each one. I have no interest in the Scanlon name and don't know whether the above fellow came from Clare, but it was worth posting it just in case. Byculla is in Bombay, India. Cheers Joan

    3. I have lost track of what I have mentioned on the list. :) The following are canceled books added in February. 1870+ Breaffy North Town of Miltown Malbay 1870+ Chapel Street, Miltown Malbay 1870+ Freagh Road, Miltown Malbay 1870+ Main Street 1870+ Breaffy South 1870+ Carrowkeel 1870+ Cloonbony Town of Miltown Malbay 1870+ Chapel Street, Miltown Malbay 1870+ Dough 1870+ Illaun 1870+ Kilcorcoran 1870+ Leagard North Town of Miltown Malbay 1870+ Main Street, Miltown Malbay 1870+ Mullagh Road, Miltown Malbay 1870+ Callan Road, Miltown Malbay 1870+ Lane off Main St. 1870+ Inagh Road, Miltown Malbay I am doing my bi-montly update for IGP so I wanted to let the list know what we have done in the last two weeks. The town of Miltown Malbay falls under various townlands which is why you see streets being repeated. I don't know why. Just the way it is. LOL The pages for the 1870+ time frame had dates noted. The dates were used when there was a change. http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/clare/land.htm Enjoy, Christina

    3. Digest users!! Please don't hit reply and then leave the Digest in tact. Either start a new email, or remove most of the text in the Digest. Then give your email a new >>> Subject line. <<< Please change Subject lines when you change topics too. It is upsetting to write all about your ancestral searching and give it a heading like O'BRIEN from Miltown Malbay. You see a reply, and someone is talking about their family. Really upsetting. I know. It has happened to me. So, stay conscious that your Subject line reflects what you are talking about. Thanks, Christina List admin chrisnina@gmail.com
