    3. There are a few John Keanes born 1864 in Clare on the LDS site. Could one of these be yours? If you think you've found him, you can order a civil birth cert from the GRO in Dublin, you'll find them by googling. Maggie the Dub

    2. Elaine
    3. Hello Everyone, I wonder if anyone on the list can help with information about The County Home Ennis which I believe is now St Josephs, Nursing Home. I have a relative who gave birth at home to a baby, she was unmarried and was admitted to the County Home the next day, the year was 1947. Does anyone know if at that time the Home was being used for unmarried mothers and if there would be any records from that time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Elaine

    3. Hi Larry, Facinating reading...with a number of the Fitzgerald names mentioned. I dont think any of these are my relations but it is early days and I have only just started checking out the Co Clare Genealogy lists and thanks to this great list, have had quite a few replies. Trying to search for the birth place of Mary Ann Fitzgerald,b.1835 daughter of Timothy Fitzgerald widower b.1784, son of Redmond Fitzgerald, [as shown on his 2nd marriage and death certificates.] Timothys wife must have died between Mary Ann's birth 1835, and 1841 with Timothy shown with 2 daughters and no wife. Will keep searching. Again thanks for this very interesting site. 3. Hi Rob, G/G/grandfather Timothy FITZGERALD had daughters Elinor/Elenor b.1825 and Mary Ann b.1835, so his wife must have died about 1835-1841 as he is shown as a widower in the 1841 Census for Mons. Wales. Mind you, it could be his mother? Is there any transcript on her tombstone please? Can you send me the list of the burials please.
