To Rosemary, I saw your posting about Malones, it struck a chord. I have in record a Michael Malone living near my Ancestors after the move to the U.S. My ancestor Patrick Coyle was from Co.Cavan but I have not been able to narrow down exactly where. I had thoughts he may have been from Kilbride or surrounding area which falls in the Oldcastle Registers of Co.Meath. Everytime I see another name in Cavan that show up in my GG Grandfathers search It sparks some curiousity. I want to say I saw the Ann Malone name too but I just can't remember at the moment(senior moments). I don't recall the exact record but I believe he was a sponsor to one of my G G grandfather's children. There was another record of a Michael Malone I found in another place very close to my ancestors in a census report I believe. I have the documents filed away in a large book and would have to dig them out. Of course this is a long shot but I wonder if your Malones were ever in Waterbury,Connecticut or Beaver Dam, Wisconsin? As I recall the 1850 census of Waterbury had a Michael Malone household, later around 1857-1860 in Beaver Dam is where I found a baptismal record. I know there were probably many Michael Malones just like there were a few hundred Patrick Coyles but just on the off chance, I thought I'd drop you this query. Have a Great Day! Joe Coyle
