    3. Hello, I'm a new lister hoping to break down a brick wall. A letter written in 1845 indicates that the father of our Thomas Reveley (born circa 1700) was a resident of Ireland. I just discovered two men in the 1881 British census with similar mispellings of my name, who were born in Ireland. Perhaps these men were from later generations of my family. John Rivlly was born in Cavan County, Ireland, in 1838, and was lodging with the Kennedys in Kirkdale, Lancashire. James Kennedy was from Carlow County, Ireland. John Reivly was born in 1809 in Ireland, and was the grandfather of either Charlotte or Francis Mullen. He lived with them at 2 Dowies Corner Castle Garth, Newcastle On Tyne, St Nicholas, Northumberland. This is all I have to go on. I have been thru several Family Tree CDs on Ireland with no luck. The Reveleys originated in Northumberland, and some families were Border Reivers. I've wondered if perhaps mine were exiled to Ireland for bad behavior in the 1600s. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Sarah Reveley Texas
