Hello Mary Ann, I have never heard the "The Fisherman of Wexford" but the Kiernnan in your name struck me. I noticed your name and had to e-mail you. I am the daughter of Rose Denning, b. Kilmore Co. The Kiernan name in your's I assumed was your maiden name. My grt-grandmother was Catherine Kiiernan she married Michael Denning about 1860 in Ireland. I no little else about her. Mother beleives her father's name was Bernard Kiernan but I have nothing to confirm that. Below is a list of their children. Do you see anyone you recognize? Oct. 13, 1836, m. ....Leonard Other names are Osborne, Mallon, Fitzsimons and Farrelly, this was a hand written note found among his parents papers. I tried to get info from the Diocese of Kilmore and was told to look to Cana House for any available info. that was in 2002. On the Kiernan's other than what I have listed above I have only Catherine Kiernan b. abt. 1842 m. to Michael Denning abt. 1860. The Denning's are equally as hard to trace, many doc. spell Dennon, Dinning, Denning, etc. . Any and all help is most welcome and much appreciated. I hope this isn't all to much info, Thank you for sharing. Marguerite
