This is for any of you that I have sent information to from the Knockbride book. Please include the following information in any source credits for your work based on the pages from this book: Title: Knockbride - A History Editors: Eugene Markey and John Clarke Publication info: R & S Printers, Monaghan, Tel. 047-81867 There is no indication anywhere in the book as to an official date of publication. There are some photos, however, that are included in the book that are dated 1995, so it is safe to presume that the book was printed sometime between 1995 and 2004. I think I have responded to everyone that requested information - if I let someone slip through the cracks and have failed to answer your request, I apologize and ask that you please contact me again. I will ultimately retain an electronic copy of this resource after I send the book back, to be used for reference for anyone who may need information from it. Hi Kimberley, A while ago, I also tried to by the book about Knockbride, but without success. I am trying to find information about Catherine GORMAN born about 1828 in Turfad, Knockbride. I wrote to Cana House and I was told there was only one Catherine GORMAN and she was born in 1828 in the area next to Turfad, and this is as far as I got. Would you be kind enough to see if there are any Gormans mentioned in your book for this area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anne in Bolton, Lancashire. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kimberley Walters" <walterskk@hotmail.com> To: <IRL-CAVAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 11, 2004 3:36 AM Subject: [IRL-CAVAN] Re: Knockbide - A History - information about the book > This is for any of you that I have sent information to from the Knockbride > book. Dear List, I don't know if this resource is known to all of you, but I thought I'd send it your way in case it might open new doors for someone. Some of you have been actively researching your Farrell/Farrelly and Carolan and Reilly names, and when I stumbled across a number of these I thought I'd like to send it on. This is a link to a site listing deaths between 1846 and 1850 in Enniskeen, Kingscourt, Cavan, most of which are Roman Catholic - but I've occasionally found some of my Protestant family buried together with Catholic families in some cemeteries, so it never hurts to look! Leave no stone (or headstone) unturned, they say! http://www.irelandgenweb.com/~cavan/enniskeen-deaths.html Good luck!
