    1. [IRL-CAVAN] Roll Call: Taylor and Simpson
    2. Not even sure if I really have relatives or not from Cavan but have found a record that might be my Great Grandmother's parents: Samuel Simpson married a Mary Anne Watson on Dec. 12th, 1845 in Urney, Tyrone, Ireland. It's a long shot since my Great Grandmother was a Mary Anne or Minnie Simpson (born June 2, 1856/ died Sept 23, 1922) and she married a William Thomas Taylor ( born July 21, 1855/ died Oct 30, 1928) they ended up on a farm in Drumgrannon, Moy of Tyrone. They were with the Church of Ireland. I have their 4th child's baptismal record. Anyway their first son and my Grandfather was named Robert Samuel so why I am wondering if the above Simpsons are related. William was a farmer and Land Bailiff for Lord Charlemont and Minnie was a teacher and a music teacher. Story goes William got caught using the Lord's rent money to buy rounds at the local pub and they let Ireland in a hurry with only clothes on their backs. They ended up in Birkenhead, England and having 2 more children. I'm always on the lookout for any info on Samuel Cooper who married an Elizabeth Thomson (their son John was born in Ireland and he eventually ended up in Milngavie, Scotland), then there is Andrew Young who married a Janet Garroway (not sure if they are from Ireland or Scotland) and then Patrick Savage who married a Catherine Wood and they had a Catherine and James somewhere in Ireland!
