My g-g-grandfather Andrew Allwell joined the Irish Constabulary in May 1847 on the recommendation of the Rev. J Brady, his Parish Priest. Can anyone tell me which Cavan Parish the Rev J Brady was parish priest of as I will then be able to track where my ancestor was from. At the moment all I know is that he was born in County Caven. Richard
It appears as if there were two J. Bradys priests in Kilmore Diocese in 1847. James was in Denn from 1841 - 1856. The other was John Brady who was in Killeshandra from 1845 - 1850 Donal ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Whitchurch-Bennett" <WhitBennRM@uk2.net> To: <IRL-CAVAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2004 9:27 AM Subject: [IRL-CAVAN] Where was J BRADY Parish Priest > My g-g-grandfather Andrew Allwell joined the Irish Constabulary in May 1847 > on the recommendation of the Rev.
