Greetings Lois, It ain't gonna be easy, tracing your Tully ancestors in Cavan. Go to www.ireland.com/ancestor, the genealogical page of the Irish Times newspaper. Search Tully and you'll find 465 entries in Griffith's Valuation. Those are heads of households, not individuals. Cavan had 123 Tully households. There were about 20 Patrick Tully entries in Cavan. There was an Elizabeth Tully on Bridge St., Cootehill, the street on which my wife's Reilly grandfather and his parents resided. Do you know the names of Patrick's parents, maybe from his death certificate or marriage record? That might help narrow the search. The Cavan Heritage Center in Cavan town helped us, but its not inexpensive. If you have additional information, feel free to get back to me. Tom O'Hare, Buffalo, NY.
