Hi Does anyone know the system used in the old days for naming sons for grandfathers & such? Thanks Joe Duclos

From what was told to me: First son born would carry the Father's grandfather, first daughter would be named after father's grandmother - Second son was named after the mother's father and first daughter after the mother's grandmother merle.
