Annie, Thanks for the kind words and also thanks for the added reference book you mentioned - I read it and it was a great book. To all who questioned MacMannus before - I'm aware that he liked to generalize sometimes and there would always be debate on exactly how much of Ireland was "Christian" before Patrick's mission there. But I just like to give the credit, as history generally does, to Patrick for the accomplishment. And "Christian" meaning the faith, not to be confused with the darker conflicts of the church which arose in time (which, by the way, any organized religion will have along with it's good points).
