I receive several hundred emails each week. When writing to me, please state what you are writing about. Please do not assume that I know what you are writing to me with regard to. I manage many sites and have many interests. When someone writes to me and just puts a surname in the subject line and nothing else, I cannot automatically know what you are writing me about. If it is for the Cavan Surname Interest list, you have to tell me. I, like many other list admins, manage numerous mail lists depending upon our interests. Since I manage several, I can't automatically know what you are writing to me about with out some reference in the subject line. It will make it easier for me to know what you want or need. Without clarification, it's a guessing game and I can only discard your email and wait until you write me and explain what you are writing about.
