Hi Dave, On the 27th December you sent this email to me. Thank you very much for the information. Without getting myself into the bad books 'again' could I ask if (1) There are birth records for any children born to this Alexander WEBSTER and Elspet LAING. My James WEBSTER was born in Killeshandra (c) 1852 and unfortunately it only states his age at death on his Death Certificate. (2) Also where do I make contact for his Marriage Certificate? He was married in the Presbyterian Church, City of Cork (c) 1881 to Mary Frances Murray. I only know how old he was when he married aged 29. I don't know anything about Mary Frances MURRAY. (3) I don't know if you remember me trying to find Hannah Webster's birth record but in purchasing her Marriage Certificate (BMD NSW) I was able to establish the fact that she was born in Tralee, Ireland in (c) 1882 so now I am hoping somehow I can find out her actual birthdate. If this is too much to ask for, could you please tell me where and how I can go about finding out this information. Thank you Dave. Regards, Hilda Cooper, Sydney. Hi Dave, Thank you for all your help with the WEBSTER family. Today I am off to the Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney to look at James and Mary WEBSTER's gravesite. I have contacted Rookwood and they have emailed me details of the site so I am off out there today to take a photo of the headstone. I understand that they are buried together in the Presbyterian Section. I have his D.C. I need to get Mary's for details of her parents. And I have Hannah's M.C. So I am finally getting somewhere. Makes me feel good but I could not have done it without the help of the Listers. Thank you again. Hilda Cooper, in a slightly overcast Sydney where the temperature is forecast for 37°C and rain.
Hello Hilda from a fellow Aussie Congratulations on your research. Yes, I know Rookwood Cemetery so I hope that you had a successful day there (for the benefit of overseas members the cemetery has some very historical features, not to mention the wonderful Arucaria Pine trees). I have followed your postings with interest as my research is located in Killeshandra. My husband's family came from there. I am researching PHAIR and associated names ARMSTRONG, PATTERSON and SMITH. I am forever hopeful that I can make a connection with someone else on this list. Regards, Margery Phair (Gloucester, NSW where we could certainly do with some rain!) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hilda Cooper" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 07, 2007 8:33 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-CAVAN] WEBSTER FAMILY FROM KILLESHANDRA Hi Dave, Thank you for all your help with the WEBSTER family.
