Hello again, I'm sorry for any misunderstanding, and hope you didn't spend too much money, I offered the links as a means of narrowing the field. May I add that I used the databases as an overview, and then visited Family History Centre to obtain more specific register details from the Index films, I have not ordered certificates as yet, but in the near future, armed with the registration info, Quarter, Volume and page number, from the indexes at FHC, I will purchase from GRO in Dublin. Price for this is,(I think), 4 Euros. (Unless Meg can suggest a better method?). Of course as Meg points out if the parish register was filmed FHC can order the film and certificate can then be printed out from that if facilities allow. Best Wishes Ava Connelly From: Meg Greenwood <[email protected]> Subject: [IRL-CAVAN] Registration INDEX films for Ireland Have noticed this thread and may be of some assistance. The FHC nearest me has the INDEX films for births, marriages and deaths in Ireland from 1864-1958. Some gaps here and there but most films are here for most of Ireland [not Northern I. after 1922]. These are the same films it was suggested you rent. -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 1871 spam emails to date. Dear Ava, Would you mind posting those links again? I just joined the email list and seem to have missed the message. Thanks, Cathy AC <[email protected]> wrote: Hello again, I'm sorry for any misunderstanding, and hope you didn't spend too much money, I offered the links as a means of narrowing the field.
