Good morning all, I will be travelling to Co. Cavan, in September, especially to the town of Ballyconnell, to do some research but also to have a look around the area. Can anyone who has been there to do reseach and the tourist thing give me some hints/tips on what to see and do. I shall be interested in the responses you get ,even though I cannot travel to Ireland My Great grandmother , Mary Reilly / Riley , left Ballyconnell in 1865 . She was a passenger aboard the ship 'WALLASEA' , which brought her to Australia , as a nineteen-year-old .
