    3. Thank you, Declan. We have been to Dublin before but this will be our first genealogy trip. I will bring what I have and take it from there. Maybe I can find the birth records of the first 4 Farley children born in (I am assuming) County Cavan, also, while I am there. I do have their names and approximate birthdates. The Farley family left Ireland for Canada in 1831 so any census records would have to be before that time. We are looking forward to seeing the beautiful countryside of Ireland again. The Nowlan side of this family came from County Carlow and we plan to visit there also. Elaine

    3. Elaine, some census fragments do exist for parts of County Cavan back to 1821, and they have microfilms of them at the Cavan Library. Tom Sullivan was a great help to us there, and we were fortunate to find our family in the 1821 census. If you don't know the townland, it would be worth it to have a look, since your Farleys didn't leave until 1831. My best to you - Tamy
