Hello all Have not posted here much over the years,mainly just tended to lurk. But I would like some help & guidance now , if at all possible. The families I am working on & would be interested to know if anyone has any connections DALY from Lisnahederna CLARKE from Ardlow & Lisnahederna GAFFNEY from Moybologue CAROLAN from Ardlow & later Mullagh & Virginia LYNCH - Ballyamesduff for more recent times 1900's > O'REILLY - Virginia for more recent times 1900's > My husband has mentioned if my current health problems are resolved soon & that I am able to sit long enough in comfort in order to be able to fly that he will take me on my dream trip to Ireland including County Cavan. This trip certainly isn't 100% definite yet & may be a while off but I would be thrilled if it does happen. Can anyone tell me about any of the local research facilities that are available ? Are there any records of old burials ? Are any resources available locally to look at such as Church records,re baptisms,marriages or burials any thing else that could be of use ? Any details of landlords & the families that they rented their land to ? Exactly WHAT can I expect to find re records once I arrive in these various places that I have listed above ? Any other records you would suggest I check out online to find out more in the meantime before we maybe go there ? I am really looking for help & guidance for doing research both - online at home in Australia & the best way to prepare myself before a holiday to Cavan as well as what I could hope to find out once I get there !
