    3. I have a page titled CENSUS OF IRELAND FOR THE YEAR 1981. [PROVINCE OF ULSTER. It has 1028 in the upper left corner. The subtitle is "Antrim occupies pp. 1-168; Armagh, 169-250; Cavan, 251-346; Donegal, 347-466; Dosey?/Dorey?/Doney?, 467-578 The Column Headings are four sets of these three headings in each set: Index Number to Electoral Divisions. Townlands and Towns. Page. And one of the entries is: Index Number to Electoral Divisions 524 Townlands and Towns Clontyduffy (Hart) Page 274 I need help please as I try to understand this. Here are my questions: 1. What is the meaning of the name Hart in parentheses? There only one other on the page in parentheses. It is immediately after the Clontyduffy (Hart) entry and it is: Index Number to Electoral Divisions 524 Townlands and Towns Clontyduffy (Nugent) Page 274 Does this possibly mean that there were two families in the town of Clontyduffy, one Hart and one Nugent? 2. What is the purpose of this list? It appears to say that on page 274 of (something) I can find out (something) about Clontyduffy (Hart). That is confusing to me. Does anyone else know how to translate that? At the bottom there is an address that apparently indicates that this came from a website. It is http://www.eppi.ac.uk/ImageRep02/eppi/derived/jpeg1200//1880_1899/00363380%23vol_1892-1892_0092-0092_sv001/p0001032.jpg Can anyone tell me what this means? And is the information valid? There is a handwritten note on my copy which says http://www.eppi.ac/ulc/eppi/digbib/ssearch which must have been where this was found. Does anyone know what eppi is? 3. And does anyone know what this indicates, if anything, about the name Hart? 4. Is Clontyduffy a townland? Why would the name Hart be in parentheses there? What county is Clontyfduffy in? Many thanks for any help you can provide. Karen
