I think you're on the right track, Jenny. The Griffith's index on failteromhat.com shows Gilhoolys most numerous in Leitrim, and several in Carrigallen. The Irish Times site shows baptisms back to 1829 (see below) but not filmed by the LDS, so you'd have to pay someone to research it for you.
