    3. Help? Without direct access to the UK National Archives, I am reliant on the records that are available on-line. The searches I have done on-line have not been succesful in identifying a possible Flack family living in and around Bailieborough, Cavan in 1831 to which William, b. 1 Apr 1810 or 1809, could have belonged (The Army records show that William said he was from the "Parish of Killan, in or near the Town of Balyburrow"). The only clues that I have as to his parents names are that his father may have been also William and that an Elizabeth Flack, possibly his mother, is buried in the same grave in Burnley. The family was Presbyterian (William baptised his son in Limerick Prebyterian Church on 25 Feb 1858.) I have found Flack families in Monaghan and further North, and a family in Lurganbane, but non with a William and Elizabeth. Can anyone suggest how I might proceed?
