Hello John & many thanks for your reply and help. Yes it does help a bit as it is so confusing to know where to go. What a shame one of the Mary's that you found didn't have an Owen for a father. If you were travelling to co Cavan where would you sail from and to. I assumed it must be Liverpool to - would it be Belfast? I do not know much about Annagh or Redhill, but I tried st Brigid's in Redhill, but they only have records that go back to 1940. I guess however she would be on the Birth register somewhere.
