    3. Hi Pat, For certs, you would go to the GRO. This link on the Proni website explains what records they do NOT have -> http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/research_and_records_held/records_not_held_in_ proni.htm My understanding of PRONI, and others may explain it differently, is similar to a role of the National Library and National Archives in Dublin. They do have microfilmed copies of many records of public interest, including parish records from various denominations. The official record keeper for birth-marriage-death, however, is the GRO (or GRONI). Hope that helps a little.
