I have listed beneath the names, places and dates of the last dozen or so deeds I have posted to my web site this week. Recently, I have received a few emails asking why I am making deeds my focus. I find it to be one of the most productive ways through brick walls when it comes to that class of people who had leases of land. As a result of my work in this past week, I have been able to connect a few dozen more people in my tree and also I have been able to add details about dozens more. For those of us whose known ancestors stretch back into the 1700s, this is sometimes the best way to make progress. And I continue to share these transcriptions with others on the lists, in part because sharing feels good, but also because I am always hungry to learn more.
