Some including my gt-grandparents went to Scotland to find work during the famine years before emigrating to Canada. Can anyone give me some guidance about how I might find out my ancestor's landlord's name. He was Samuel Hart and he married Rebecca Kelly in Clare Presbyterian Church in (I know, it's not Cavan!) Co. Armagh in 1840 before they emigrated to Canada. I persist asking in Co. Cavan because there is a family memory of "Cavan" though I do not know if that refers to the county or to some townland named Cavan. Many thanks. Karen
