For Rob and anyone else who is interested, this was posted to the GOONS mailing list about obtaining copies of parish registers from the LDS church :- "The system is the same for everybody and still low tech. Obtain a form or download one. Complete the form with details of the events for which copies are required, including names, date, place and film number. Enter you postal address and credit card details on the form. Post it snail mail to Salt Lake City. You can also fax it. About 3 weeks later a large envelope of photocopies should arrive. I guess that when the big programme to digitise and index everything is in full swing, it will be possible to view on line."
