    1. [IRL-CAVAN] Researching in Dublin
    2. "E" Sharp
    3. We just returned from a 3 week vacation to Europe and while there we spent some time in Dublin where I did some research at the National Library. It was very easy to find and the people at the Library are most helpful. So if your planning a trip there, don't hesitate to spend some time doing your research. I did research before I went and I did know it was County Cavan, had the name of the town, parish, and approximate dates, etc. I also checked on line before I went, to see what records were available for the area I was researching as some of the records/dates are missing for that area. I did learn it is pronounced Ca(short a)vin. This was our 3rd trip to Dublin but the first to do research and as usual, believe it or not, only about 15 minutes of rain on the days we were there and had a wonderful time. We walked from one end of the city to the other and back many times. There was a big, I think rugby, tournament going on and lots of fun and laughter in the streets. Elaine
