Hi As the family moved around a lot ,it is possible that John was a member of the ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY POLICE FORCE. (RIC) The index is on Ancestry Many retired RIC constable had other jobs when they retired from the force. A search of the 1901 and 1911 census may tell you where the family were in 1901./1911The census also mentions the occupation In 1891 the bride married in her home parish. Have you considered searching the Northern Ireland records. Another possibility is that the names on the marriage certificate is not the names you remember. The Ango Celt Newspaper for Cavan is also on line at this address http://www.irishnewsarchive.com/ http://www.emeraldancestors.com/ http://www.leitrim-roscommon.com/1901census/census.shtml Good Luck Rosaleen Sligo Ireland > From: irl-cavan-request@rootsweb.com > Subject: IRL-CAVAN Digest, Vol 4, Issue 59 > To: irl-cavan@rootsweb.com > Date: Wed, 10 Jun 2009 01:00:41 -0600 > > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
