    3. Carolyn, If you do not know the name of the spouse, there is no way to find it by using the Indexes. There is no entry for the matching spouse's name. Scotland eventually did list the spouse but not until 1928. I don't think Ireland ever did likewise even in later years. You can pretty much 'confirm' a matching bride and a groom if you know both names. They will have the same year, quarter, Parish, volume and page number when you look them both up and compare the Index data. There is the slight possibility they are indeed on the same PAGE but be actually wed to another person as there are up to 4 marriages on each page. Chances are slim, but I've had it happen once.
